High Limit Room

An all-ages venue in Portland’s Central Eastside. Offering a space for bands of all sizes to come play, and people of all ages to come see live music.

The venue is upstairs and boasts a great sound system and backline (see our tech specs below). Soft drinks like Liquid Death and Diet Coke are for sale at the bar. We do not sell or allow alcohol.

720 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland, OR, 97214

Located on SE Hawthorne Blvd between 7th and 8th Ave. Tomorrow Records and Bridge City Counseling are south of us in the same building, and just north of us is Oregon Blue Print (do not park in their lot). We’re the place with the marquee sticking out.

FAQ

Where do I park?
There’s plenty of street parking in the area. Do not park in our neighbor’s (OBP) lot.

Do you allow bags?
Yes, but all bags brought into the venue are subject to search upon entry. This includes re-entry.

Do you have a coat/bag check?
Not currently, but we do have a public cubby area in the back of the venue.

Is there re-entry?
Yes, just make sure the person working the door can see your wristband.

Where are the bathrooms?
In the hallway on the left side of the stage (stage right).

I left something there. Can I get it back?
Email us and let us know as soon as you realize you left it. We generally hold onto things for several days (unless we deem it as trash), but there’s not a lot of storage space so we will discard it if we haven’t heard anything within a few days.

Do you allow food and drink inside?
For now, yes, but no alcohol. For this reason, certain drinks may not be allowed in if we deem it suspicious of having alcohol in it.

Can I bring my camera?
Yes, at your own risk. We are not liable for any damage that your gear may incur.

Is there seating?
There are some seats available in the venue, but limited to the back area.

Is your venue ADA accessible?
Unfortunately, our venue is upstairs with no elevator. We are doing our best to find out ways to get a wheelchair lift installed. In the meantime, if you have certain needs and want to come to a show, please email us ahead of time and we can do our best to accommodate.

What’s up with the downstairs?
It’s going to be a cafe / bar / restaurant. We are working on the buildout. Hoping to get it done ASAP.

How do I get tickets?
Tickets for upcoming shows can be found on our shows page. Day of tickets can be purchased at the door upon entry if a show has not sold out.

I have a ticket. How do I get in?
Save the QR code to your phone or have the Afton email with the QR code ready upon entry. We will scan the QR code as your ticket.

Do I need my ID to get in?
Generally, no. However, we host some events that are later in the night and are 18+, in which case, yes, you would need to bring an ID for those.

Do you offer refunds?
Generally, no. All ticket sales are final. There are some circumstances where it could happen, but unlikely.

There’s a show announced but I can’t find the ticket link for it.
Sometimes a tour is announced, but there isn’t yet local support ready for it. In this case, the promoter wouldn’t have a ticket link ready because the show isn’t finalized. Sometimes a show will have tickets only available at the door, like benefit shows, or last-minute shows, etc. If you think we made a mistake, then reach out to us.

How do I book a show at High Limit Room?
Email booking@highlimitroompdx.com. Self-promoting bands, please only reach out if you have a lineup ready. We are a venue, not promoters, so we won’t be putting together a bill for you.

A show got announced that I want my band to play — can we hop on?
We have no control over opening spots for national tours. Reach out to the promoter who organized the show, not us.
